Audi RS6 C5 (2002-2004)

Audi RS6 debuted in 2002. The situation with Japan was so interesting that sales of the model in this country of the car were carried out only through independent importers. The Japanese division of Audi never offered the RS6 model of the C5 generation. The most common is the Avant body, and therefore the station wagon.

The car has a suspension with pneumatic Dynamic Ride Control system. The hood and doors are made of aluminum to reduce the weight of the car. The wheel arches have been widened by 40 mm compared to the standard A6. In 2004, it was limited to 500 pieces. Audi RS6 Plus. In this Audi RS6, the interior had leather upholstery and a number plate. From the outside, they were distinguished by 19" instead of 18" rims. The power was raised to 480 hp and the suspension was lowered.

In the first generation Audi RS6, the engine is a 4.2 V8 Biturbo with 450 hp. In the RS6 Plus version, the power increased to 480 hp. The engine was developed jointly with Cosworth. It has two turbochargers and two intercoolers.

The equipment of the Audi RS6 C5 includes sports, electrically adjustable Recaro seats, dual-zone climate control, all-wheel drive, xenon headlights and Bose audio system. In the RS6 Plus, Audi MMI navigation, heated front seats and fully leather upholstery were added.

Audi RS6 C6 (2008-2010)

The C6 generation was already officially offered in Japan and again mainly units in the Avant body were sold. The hood, doors and tailgate are made of aluminum. This time the wheel arches were widened by as much as 80 mm. The suspension again has a DRC system. The engine was paired with a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission with Sport mode and DSP (Dynamic Shift Programme).

In 2009, the car underwent a facelift. A new Audi MMI system has been added, minor stylistic changes have been made. The limited RS6 Plus accelerated to 303 km/h and has carbon fiber elements in the engine compartment.

The C6 generation had perhaps the most interesting engine in the history of the Audi RS6. How many horses did the heart generate from a Lamborghini? From the 5.0 V10 TFSI Biturbo engine, 580 hp was squeezed out. As many as 7 heatsinks were used for cooling.

Audi RS6 C7 (2013-2018)

The next generation was built on the same recipe as the previous one, but the suspension was changed to pneumatic, adaptive. They were lowered by 20 mm compared to the usual A6. The car is also 120 kg lighter than the RS6 C6. In 2015, the Performance version was introduced, which has a power raised to 605 hp, the Dynamic Plus package allows you to develop a maximum speed of 305 km/h, and inside appeared an 8" screen with an improved Audi MMI.

The car was offered with a 4.0 V8 TFSI Biturbo engine, which generates 560 hp, and in the Performance version - 605 hp. Works with an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission.

The latest generation of the Audi RS6 debuted in 2020, it has an adaptive suspension, lowered by 20 mm compared to the base A6. The wheel arches have been widened by 40 mm, but at the same time it is the widest RS6 in history. Also new is the hybrid drive in the form of a soft hybrid. In 2022, the Performance version was introduced, which has a matte finish, 630 hp and an improved Virtual Cockpit.
