Audi A6 C7 (2012-2017)
The Audi S7 is based on the A7 model, but has an S suspension, which is lowered by 10 mm. As an option, it was possible to order an adaptive suspension, lowered by 20 mm compared to the basic A7. The body is widened by 40 mm at the wheel arches.
The car has a Quattro drive, and a sports differential was offered as an option. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic S Tronic with manual mode and paddles at the steering wheel.
In the 2015 model year version, the car underwent a facelift, which included, among other things, Matrix LED headlights instead of xenon, a new grill, an improved Audi MMI system and changes in the suspension configuration. After the facelift of the Audi S7, the interior could be finished with carbon fiber or aluminum inserts.

In the Audi S7, the engine remained the same throughout the entire production period of the C7 generation. This is a 4.0 V8 TFSI Biturbo with 420 hp, which was raised to 450 hp in 2016. It has technology that turns off 4 cylinders at low load, which reduces exhaust emissions and fuel consumption.

The Audi S7 C7 is equipped with, among others, 4-zone climate control, Audi MMI system (7" screen until 2014 and 8" after 2014), Bose audio system, sports seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara, with electric adjustment in 10 directions and front heating and a rear view camera.
In 2015, the Audi S7 Sportback Plus was introduced, which additionally has, among others, Bang & Olufsen audio system, Audi MMI 3G Plus navigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant, and from 2016 it was possible to order Virtual Cockpit, i.e. digital clocks.
Three additional packages were also offered. Two of them were typically stylistic - S Line Exterior Package and Black Optic Package. The third is the Technology Package with head-up display, night vision system with pedestrian detection and automatic parking.

Audi S7 C8 (2019-present)
The second generation of the Audi S7 is currently on the market. It is based on the MLB Evo platform. The car is 30% made of aluminum. The S suspension lowers the car by 10 mm compared to the base A7, and the RS adaptive suspension is optionally available. The torsional stiffness has been increased by 15% compared to the previous generation. For this, it has a Quattro drive and a 7-speed S tronic transmission. From 2020, a sports differential began to be offered as standard, which was an option in the Audi S7 C7. Also new is the type of drive, as Audi has adopted a soft hybrid (MHEV).
For the 2024 model year, the car has undergone a facelift, which consists in minor changes in appearance (new rims and exhaust tips), the addition of new upholstery options and an improvement in the Audi Virtual Cockpit. In Europe, the facelift brought the TDI engine to the range, but it is sold in Japan.

The hybrid drive is a novelty in the Audi S7. How many horses does he have? The 2.9 V6 TFSI Biturbo MHEV engine has a total output of 450 hp. An electric compressor is installed in it, which eliminates the phenomenon of turbo holes. Thanks to this, the car accelerates smoothly in the full range of revolutions.

The base version of the Audi S7 C8 has, among others, the 10.1" Audi MMI, 12.3" Virtual Cockpit, 4-zone climate control, Valcona leather-trimmed seats, heated and ventilated at the front, with 12-way adjustment and Bang & Olufsen audio system with 16 speakers.
In 2020, the Audi S7 Sportback Premium was introduced, which additionally has larger wheels (21"), an accessory exhaust system, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control and a night vision system.
