- how to bring a car from Japan

Choosing a car is the first and most important stage of importing a car from Japan. During this stage, we collect detailed information to tailor the vehicle to your needs. Cars differ in equipment, engine version, mileage and technical condition, so we analyze each case individually. You define your preferences regarding the budget, model and parameters of the vehicle.

Based on the established criteria, we begin the search for vehicles at Japanese auctions. We present selected proposals that meet the established requirements. Each offer is discussed individually in order to choose the vehicle that best suits your expectations.

After choosing a specific copy, we present the calculation of all costs associated with importing a car from Japan. Then we jointly determine the maximum amount to which we will bid the vehicle. Additional inspection in Japan is possible upon request.

After deciding on the auction, we sign a contract for the import of the vehicle. The buyer pays a deposit of at least 10% of the estimated bid amount (not less than PLN 5,000). In case of winning the auction, the deposit is credited to the commission.

If the vehicle is not auctioned, the deposit is refunded within 2 working days or, on request, remains available for subsequent auctions.

After winning the auction, the Buyer is obliged to make payment for the costs incurred in Japan (vehicle price, broker's commission, transport to the port) directly to the broker's account indicated in the settlement within 2 working days from the date of winning the auction. Timely payment avoids additional fees arising from the rules of the auction house.

After posting the funds, the vehicle is picked up from the auction house and transported to the port of export. Photographic documentation is carried out in the port. The vehicle is then loaded into a container or transported in the RO-RO system and sent to a port in Europe. We communicate the status of the transport by e-mail.

Upon arrival in Europe, the vehicle goes to the cooperating customs agency, where it goes through the clearance procedure. The duty and VAT due must be paid in accordance with the applicable regulations. Payment is made directly to the account of the customs agency.

After completion of customs procedures, we organize land transport to the place indicated by the Buyer in Poland. The pick-up location should allow safe access and unloading of the vehicle. In the case of damaged or malfunctioning vehicles, the Buyer shall ensure appropriate unloading conditions.

Payment for land transport is settled upon receipt of the vehicle or by bank transfer.

After delivery of the vehicle, we settle the commission on the deposit previously paid and issue an invoice for the service. A set of documents (invoice from Japan, customs clearance documents, export certificate) is sent by courier.

On the basis of the documents received, it is possible to carry out registration of the vehicle in Poland. It is also necessary to pay excise duty and carry out translations of documents. If necessary, we help with further formalities.
