Porsche Panamera 970

The first generation of the Panamera has the 970 designation and was produced between 2009 and 2016. It was quite a shock for customers and turned out to be a strong financial injection for the brand. Inspired by the prototype 989, a four-door version of the 911, the history of the model dates back to the late 1980s. The car was available with rear-axle or four-wheel drive.

In 2013, the car underwent a facelift. The front and rear bumpers were changed, a 3.0 l engine with dual supercharging was added, and versions lengthened by 150 mm appeared in selected markets.

In total, 9 versions of the Porsche Panamera were created. The interior, exterior, engines and drives were more or less different for almost each of them. An interesting fact is the hybrid version. The Panamera S Hybrid appeared in 2011, but did not enjoy much popularity. The total power of the set was as much as 422 hp.

• Panamera GTS — 4.8 V8 engine, 440 hp, maximum torque 520 Nm;
• Panamera Turbo — 4.8 V8 twin turbo engine, 520 hp, maximum torque 750 Nm;
• Panamera Turbo S and Turbo S Executive — 4.8 V8 twin turbo engine, 570 hp, maximum torque 800 Nm

Special versions:

• Platinum Edition - produced since October 2012, has richer equipment, larger wheels with a diameter of 19 inches from the Turbo model, is available in white, black, basalt, gray or mahogany colors. The interior is decorated in beige and black. From the outside, it stands out with platinum accents.
• Panamera Edition — has black window trim and 19-inch wheels from the Turbo model, as well as Edition lettering on the rim caps.

Porsche Panamera 971

The second generation of the Panamera model was shown in 2016 in Berlin. The 971 series model is 35 mm longer, 5 mm wider and 5 mm taller than the 970. The wheelbase has been extended by 30 mm. The interior featured 7" screens instead of clocks and a 12.3" touchscreen for multimedia and navigation. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. From the outside, the car was likened to the Porsche 911, which can be seen especially from the rear.

In 2017, the Sport Turismo model appeared, which is a shooting brake car. The aggressive and sporty body line was retained, but at the same time more luggage space was made available.
