Mercedes AMG GT of the first generation was offered for quite a long time, as it was produced for as many as 9 years, but despite this we classify it as an exclusive car. The car won recognition due to the combination of sporty performance, luxurious interior and cutting-edge technology. Its distinctive features are streamlined shapes, muscular physique and long mask. The body is made of aluminum. It has an active spoiler, adaptive suspension, rear-wheel drive. The AMG GT R uses a rear steering axle. In the Mercedes AMG GT car, the interior is adapted for 2 people, although there are 2+2 configurations. In addition to the coupe body, a roadster was also available.

In 2017, the car underwent its first facelift. A new grill has appeared, the engine software in the AMG GT S has been improved, new driving modes have been introduced, the multimedia system has been updated. The car was presented in three variants of equipment:

  • AMG GT - automatic climate control, Command system with 8.4" screen (10.25" from 2018), AMG sports seats with electric adjustment and memory, Burmeister audio system, AMG Ride Control suspension (Comfort, Sport, Sport+ modes), Parktronic rear view camera, AMG Performance steering wheel;
  • AMG GT S - in addition to the AMG GT, Race and Race Start modes in AMG Dynamic Select, AMG Performance exhaust with active flaps, reinforced brakes, lithium-ion battery;
  • AMG GT R - in addition to the AMG GT S rear steering axle, suspension adjustment, ceramic brakes, active chassis aerodynamic profile, AMG Performance exhaust system with titanium tips, AMG Performance bucket seats, carbon fiber inserts.

There were also special versions:

  • AMG GT S Edition 1 (2015-2019) - about 50 pcs. went to Japan, it has, among others, a carbon roof, a fixed spoiler, widened wheel arches, rims in black gloss;
  • AMG GT R Pro (2019-2022) - about 30 pcs. went to Japan, has, among others, a suspension with manual stiffness adjustment, a safety cage, bucket seats, ceramic brakes;
  • AMG GT Black Series (2020-2022) - approx. 20 pcs. went to Japan, has, among others, adjustable carbon fiber wing, ceramic brakes, carbon roof, safety cage, bucket seats.

Mercedes AMG GT C192 (2023-present)

The second generation AMG GT has a body made of aluminum and composites, which reduced the weight of the car. The suspension is AMG Active Ride Control with hydraulic stabilization, and a torsional rear axle is standard. All versions, with the exception of the AMG GT 43, have a 4MATIC+ drive. There is also a new AMG Speedshift MCT 9G gearbox. In addition to gasoline engines, there is also a plug-in hybrid option.

  • AMG GT 63 Manufaktur Edition - copper paint orange or AMG Green Hell Magno, two-tone upholstery, increased amount of carbon fiber elements, extended electronics package, 21" wheels.
