The Americans and Japanese had at their disposal a 3.0 engine with the designation S38, which generated a maximum power of 256 hp. BMW M6 E63/E64 (2005-2010)
The second generation BMW 6 appeared only in 2003, and the M version went on sale 2 years later. In the case of the BMW M6, the technical data is impressive, since it uses a 5.0 V10 engine inspired by Formula 1 units. The maximum power is 507 hp and the maximum torque is 520 Nm. The coupe version has a carbon fiber roof. The speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but when the limiter is removed, the car accelerates to 305 km/h.
BMW M6 F12/F13/F06 (2012-2018)
With the third generation of the 6 Series, a new body version, offered as a Gran Coupe, joined the lineup. This is the aftermath of the fashion for four-door cars in a coupe body. Interestingly, the BMW 6 Gran Coupe was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show. In the M version, the V10 engine was replaced by a 4.4 V8 bi-turbo with 560 hp. With the Competition package, the power increased to 600 hp. In addition to a powerful engine, the car has an adaptive suspension. As an option, the M Performance exhaust system could be ordered.
BMW 6 GT M Performance G32 (2017-2023)
As part of the reordering of the range, BMW introduced the 8 Series, which replaced the 6 Series, while the 6 Series gained the Gran Turismo designation and replaced the BMW 5 GT. The BMW 6 GT never saw the M version, but the M Performance version was sold. It has an in-line 3.0 TwinPower Turbo engine with 340 hp, xDrive drive and adaptive suspension with the possibility of lowering. The extensive equipment also includes M Sport styling elements, M rims, M sports brakes with blue calipers, and the interior includes an M steering wheel, sports seats, aluminum inserts and Vernasca leather.
